Stolen Car

I was driving to the next town over from mine for groceries when it happened. It was a very humid rainy day and I was on a backroad on my way there, not really thinking much of the situation. The roads were completely saturated, it had been raining very hard all day. I then came up on a stop sign. I began to try to stop but I realized I was not stopping. My heart jumped into my throat. All I could think about was an oncoming car hitting my side door. I was halfway through the intersection before I realized that if I kept trying to stop I would keep on sliding. So I had to keep on driving through the intersection. Luckily, I got out of the incident completely unscathed.

During my time in grade school there was always a hug buzz about the sixth grade field trip. As far back as second grade is when we started talking about it. We always pictured it as going to be the highlight of our schooling up until that point. The trip was to Hershey Park, about two or three hours away. People always said about how the park had the best roller coasters in the world and how the food was so good, this was enough for my friends and I to get excited about this trip. The of the trip came, I was gladly rising from bed at 5:30 am to start our trip to Hershey Park that day.
