My Expectations
Coming into the classroom of ENG 110 for the first day of class, I had a few expectations for what I wanted to learn and what skills I had to improve on. I had to be in the mindset that I was going to show up to class everyday and strive to be the best writer that I can be. I wouldn't consider myself as a good writer by any means, but I would like to improve upon what I already know in terms of writing. I hope to learn even more diction than I had already known in high school and be able to use it fluidly throughout all of my writings. I expect to learn how to become better at planning how to write essays and how I can do better to construct a thesis which will give the idea that I am trying to explain. Especially with persuasive text, as I struggled with this very much in my academic career. I also expect myself to be mentally tough as I learn and hopefully excel at writing.
